Who or what were your biggest influences growing up, and how did they shape your career choice?
Growing up, our musical influences ranged from the timeless melodies of The Beatles to the modern vibes of Post Malone, Harry Styles, Coldplay, and Bruno Mars. The Beatles taught us the importance of melody and songwriting, while Post Malone's genre-blending style inspired us to push boundaries. Harry Styles' artistry and Coldplay's atmospheric soundscapes have influenced the emotional depth in our music. Bruno Mars, with his infectious energy and versatility, showed us how to create music that resonates with different audiences. Together, these influences have shaped our sound into a unique blend of classic and contemporary elements.
How did you deal with skepticism or doubt from others when you started your journey?
When we first started making music, we knew skepticism was inevitable, but our approach to it was simple and effective. We weren’t making music for anyone else; we were doing it for ourselves because of our deep passion for the craft. From the outset, we had a clear vision of what we wanted to achieve, and that focus helped us stay on course, regardless of the doubts others expressed.
Rather than letting skepticism discourage us, we used it as motivation. It reinforced our belief that what we were doing was unique and worthwhile. We understood that not everyone would immediately grasp what we were trying to create, and that was okay. Our goal was never to cater to everyone but to stay true to our artistic vision. Every piece of doubtful feedback only fueled our determination to keep going. We believed in our music, and that belief made it easy to keep pushing forward, no matter what others said.
Ultimately, our passion and commitment to our goals helped us navigate through the skepticism, allowing us to create music that truly resonates with who we are.
How did your breakthrough impact your confidence and drive?
Our confidence was always there, but like anyone, we had moments of self-doubt. Those doubts never stopped us, though—we kept pushing forward because we believed in what we were doing. When we finally had our breakthrough, it was a powerful confirmation that our resilience and consistency were worth it. It showed us that if we keep working hard and stay true to our vision, the effort will pay off.
How do your current projects reflect your growth and evolution as an artist?
Our current projects truly highlight how far we’ve come in our ability to write lyrics and craft songs that not only resonate with listeners but also bring them joy. Over the years, we’ve grown significantly as artists, learning from our experiences and refining our craft. This maturity has greatly impacted the way we collaborate, making us more in tune with each other’s creative strengths and processes. As a result, we’ve become more efficient and cohesive in our work, which has directly contributed to the evolution of our sound and the overall quality of the music we produce. This journey of growth has allowed us to create music that we’re genuinely proud of and that we believe truly connects with our audience.
What are the most common mistakes you see aspiring artists make, and how can they avoid them?
One of the biggest mistakes we see aspiring artists make is a lack of originality. It’s easy to fall into the trap of mimicking big artists, thinking it will lead to the same level of success. But that approach is far from true. Success comes from being unique, consistent, and staying true to yourself. When you create something authentic that you truly believe in, it not only sets you apart but also helps you build a foundation for long-term success. Originality, consistency, and authenticity are key to making a lasting impact in the music industry.
