Just Launched My First Start Up Please Give Me Tips

First off, your journey will be full of highs and lows. One day you'll feel on top of the world, and the next, you'll be questioning everything, wanting to give up. It's normal. Embrace it. The key is to stay persistent and not let the lows define your path. You'll find regret with giving up, so keep going! All it takes is one opportunity or one person you meet.

Your network is your net worth. Surround yourself with like-minded individuals who want to see you win. Remember that those supporting you will not compete with you either. Don't be afraid to reach out to people. Don't get offended if they say no; move on and reach out to another person—you will find the perfect one to match your frequency. If you keep receiving no's, look within yourself and see if there is something you could change. Is it your brand, the way you work, your consistency? We have the Network which you can join to connect with creatives and entrepreneurs to ask questions!

Understanding your target market is crucial. Conduct thorough market research to identify your potential customers, their needs, and how your product or service can solve their problems. The more you know about your market, the better you can tailor your offerings. For creatives, listen to your audience without abandoning your voice. Look at the demographics of who is listening to your music and keep marketing toward that crowd. Find love within listening.

What sets your startup apart from the competition or other artists? YOU are what makes you special. It’s the reason customers will choose you over others. Tell your story, be authentic, and be yourself! People like vulnerability; they like to see the real you. If you post a story about your song, your service, or your product, also follow up with a post about why you made the song, service, or product. Share your backstory and the triumphs you went through.

A well-thought-out business plan serves as a roadmap for your startup. BUT you do not need to know everything before you start. That is the beauty of trying. As you go, you will figure it out. The most important thing is that you are trying! In 20 years, you'll look back and thank yourself!

Your customers or fans are your best critics and your biggest supporters. Listen to their feedback and use it to improve your work, product, or service. Engage with them on social media, conduct user testing, and implement changes based on their suggestions. Happy customers are the best marketing tool you can have. Sometimes I will reach out to random fans and ask for their opinion. It makes them feel special while you receive honest feedback. You do not need to use all of the feedback; that is for you to decide.

Sometimes keeping it simple is best. Do not feel like you need a million resources and fancy equipment to get there. Sometimes all you need is your voice and a phone with a platform of people who are rooting for you. Work with the resources you have!

Keep a close eye on your finances, and make sure you have a clear understanding of your expenses and revenue streams. I am not the best with this, and that is okay. One piece of advice I would give is to make your artist name into an LLC. Use your business or artist name to take out loans and credit cards. Do not use anything in your name because it becomes a liability, it will affect your credit score and you will not be able to get the loans or credit cards.

Running a startup or being a creative can be all-consuming, but it's important to take care of yourself. Burnout is real and can derail your progress. Make time for exercise, hobbies, and spending time with loved ones. Your health is most important!

Lastly, don't forget to celebrate your successes, no matter how small. Launching a startup or releasing your work is hard work, and every milestone deserves recognition. Celebrating small wins keeps morale high and reminds you of the progress you're making.

Good luck on your journey! Remember, every step, no matter how small, is progress. Keep pushing forward, learn from your experiences, and enjoy the ride. You're on your way to great things!
